The Herb
Among the ten sacred roots of Dashamoola, Gambhari is revered as one of the most nourishing and stabilising.
Where certain Ayurvedic herbs ignite, cleanse, or stimulate, Gambhari was traditionally honoured for rebuilding. Ancient physicians turned to this majestic forest tree when depletion, dryness, weakness, fatigue, and aggravated Vata had begun to erode the body’s deeper reserves.
Its cooling and grounding nature made it especially valued in classical Rasayana traditions focused on rejuvenation, tissue nourishment, vitality, and restoration after exhaustion or illness.
The name Kashmarya appears repeatedly throughout Ayurvedic literature as a herb associated with steadiness, fertility, strength, and balance. As one of the sacred Dashamoola roots, Gambhari became woven deeply into Panchakarma recovery protocols and restorative wellness traditions across Bharat.
ASLI AYURVEDA offers Gambhari in its most authentic form — carefully harvested roots and bark, naturally cured, and preserved without additives or artificial enhancement.
This is not merely a forest herb.
This is Ayurveda’s philosophy of replenishment and grounded vitality.
